Common questions

How do I create my first invoice?

Tap Create invoice on the Dashboard. Review the invoice number and dates, choose or add a client, and add at least one line item. Review tax and other settings as needed, then save. New invoices default to no tax; choose the tax settings appropriate for your work.

What can I do for free, and what needs Pro?

You can create and organize invoices and preview their PDFs for free. An active Pro subscription unlocks PDF sharing. The purchase screen shows the available plans, price, and billing period before you buy.

How do I add my logo and business details?

Open Business, add your business name, contact details, payment instructions, and logo, then tap Save. These details are used when generating your invoices.

I paid, but sharing is still locked.

Use the same Apple Account used for the purchase. Open Business and choose Restore purchases. Check that the subscription is active in your Apple Account settings. If it remains locked, email support with the app version and a description of the issue.

How do I cancel or request a refund?

Subscriptions are managed by Apple. Open Apple subscriptions to view or cancel your plan. For a refund request, visit Apple’s Report a Problem. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.

Where are my invoices stored? How do I back them up?

Invoice records, client details, and your business profile are stored on your device. In Business, use Export backup (JSON) to save a copy to Files or your chosen storage service. Keep backups before deleting the app or changing devices. The current app does not provide an in-app JSON restore or automatic cross-device sync.

Does the app collect payments or track when a client opens an invoice?

No. Smart Invoice creates PDFs and lets you manually track invoice status. It does not process your clients’ payments or automatically detect when they open a PDF.

Privacy policy

Updated September 20, 2026 · Smart Invoice 1.0.2

Smart Invoice is provided by RUEBEN ANSOLIWEN AKANKOBATENG. Contact akankobatengr@gmail.com with privacy questions or requests.

Invoice and client records

Your invoice contents, client records, business profile, logo, and payment instructions are stored locally on your device. The app does not upload these records to a developer-operated server. When you share a PDF or export a backup, you choose its recipient or storage provider. Those services apply their own privacy policies. Device backups may also contain app data depending on your Apple settings.

Subscriptions

Apple processes App Store payments. Smart Invoice uses RevenueCat to validate purchases and manage Pro access. RevenueCat receives an app user identifier and purchase information, and may process device, app, and network information needed to operate its service. We do not receive your payment-card details. See RevenueCat’s privacy policy and Apple’s privacy policy.

Optional usage analytics

Usage analytics are off by default. If you enable Share usage analytics, the app sends first-completion markers for app use, invoice creation started, invoice saved, PDF previewed, paywall viewed, and purchase completed to RevenueCat. These markers are associated with your app subscription identifier. They do not contain invoice numbers, amounts, client names, contact details, PDF files, or bank information. We use them to understand where people get stuck and improve the app; they are not used for advertising tracking.

You can turn this off in Business at any time. Turning it off stops new usage markers and asks RevenueCat to clear the app’s custom milestone attributes on its next synchronization. This does not erase purchase records needed to manage a subscription. Contact support for other data requests.

Support and this website

If you email support, we receive your email address and the information you choose to send, and use it to respond to your request. Please avoid sending sensitive invoice data. This support site does not add advertising trackers or analytics scripts. Its hosting provider processes network requests to deliver and protect the site.

Retention and choices

You control local records through the app and your device. Keep a backup before deleting app data. Purchase records may be retained by Apple and RevenueCat for billing and service obligations. Contact support to request access to or deletion of information held by the developer, subject to applicable retention requirements.

Changes

We may update this policy when the app or its services change. The date above identifies this version.
